The Lowrad 10 In Use

Firstly the Lowrad 10 Holographic Encoder is fixed to the gamma camera in place of the traditional collimator.

Patients are given the appropriate isotope dose (which can be reduced by up to 80%).

An image is then captured with the camera as normal over 20 to 30 minutes. This image is then processed with the Lowrad Decoder software which produces a user selectable number of slices in DICOM format. Each slice requires around 2 seconds of processing time to produce.
